MSMI ceased underwriting with effect from 00.00 GMT on 1 July 2011.

On 3 November 2011 (Circular Ref 2011/014), it was confirmed that North of England Protecting and Indemnity Association Limited (North) acquired MSMI (in run-off). MSMI is now a wholly owned subsidiary of North, who will manage the run-off of MSMI’s outstanding liabilities.

Claims will continue to be handled as before, by North’s claims handling team and former Members and brokers should continue to contact the relevant member of North’s team in respect of ongoing matters: www.nepia.com
